The increase in technology firms outsourcing work around the world has driven an almost 20 per cent rise in earnings at Fexco’s corporate payments business, its chief executive has said.

Ruth McCarthy, who is head of Fexco Corporate Payments, an arm of the Kerry-based financial services company, said it had noticed a significant uptick in payments made to “exotic” locations such as Mexico and the Philippines over recent years.
