EY criticised after boardroom gender gap report doubled actual numbers
A report by accountancy firm EY, which claimed that 31 per cent of Irish board members are women, has been rubbished by an expert government group promoting representation in business.
The accountancy firm’s 2019 Diversity and Inclusion report, published in April claimed that women hold an average of 31 per cent of board positions. This would have been a significant milestone, as 30 per cent has been set as the target by campaigners for years.
