EY to split Irish workforce ‘50/50’ in division of audit and consulting units
Company’s well-trailed move intended to help avoid conflicts of interest between different divisions
EY’s Irish workforce, as well as its 120 equity partners, will be split roughly in half as part of the Big Four firm’s plan to divide up its audit and consulting businesses into “distinct, multidisciplinary organisations”.
The company, which employs around 3,600 people in the Republic of Ireland, announced the long-awaited move in a statement today.
