Tech giant warns about housing and Irish planning system; Apple says problems would impact employment and operations

Apple warned Taoiseach Leo Varadkar that the state’s housing crisis and planning laws could impact on future job creation and its existing operations in Ireland, The Sunday Business Post can reveal.

Confidential documents show that the tech giant flagged concerns with Varadkar last September about the cost and availability of accommodation in Cork, where its Irish operations are based, and planning delays which have stalled plans to build a data centre in Athenry.
