In the space of two hours in Athlone, Peter Casey gets a blessing from a woman bearing a set of rosary beads and a free bottle of water from a travel agent, and finds ten cent while crossing the road. He is, he says, feeling lucky in his quest to become an MEP for the 13-county Midlands-North West constituency.
