Richie Kavanagh was the man who, in the 1980s, gave a heartbreaking account to RTE of what it was like to be out of work for two years in the Fettercairn estate. He was holding two of his three children and spoke about how it was “pretty depressing” for everybody in the west Tallaght estate.
