ESB signs landmark wind power deal with Danish firm Ørsted

ESB has signed a landmark deal with Ørsted, the Danish renewable energy company, to develop an offshore wind portfolio off the Irish coast.

The 50/50 partnership aims to deliver up to 5 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy, comprising wind and hydrogen projects.

The proposed projects will be used to compete in the next Irish offshore wind auction.
