Esat row will return to Supreme Court tomorrow

A row over a British company funding an action alleging wrongful interference in the awarding of the state’s second mobile phone licence to Denis O’Brien’s Esat in 1996 goes before the Supreme Court tomorrow.

Underbidders Persona Digital and Sigma allege that Esat won the contest by bribing the then minister for communications Michael Lowry, claims denied by the independent TD and O’Brien.
