Environmental reporting ‘should be mandatory for all companies’

Company law should be changed to mandate environmental reporting and ensure businesses are on track to halving their environmental footprint over the next ten years, an expert has warned.

Sue Garrard, a sustainability consultant and former Unilever executive, said companies risked losing customers and investment if they refused to reduce their carbon footprint in a transparent manner.
