Earnings jump 43% at Smurfit Kappa

Smurfit Kappa has reported earnings before deductions of €1.7 billion for the first nine months of this year, a 43 per cent increase on the corresponding period last year.

Revenue at the paper packaging giant was up 33 per cent year-on-year to €9.7 billion according to a trading update from the group.
