Project stalled as Eli Lilly awaits further information about new president's plans for industry

Pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly has delayed a €200 million investment in Cork amid fears of a clampdown on the pharmaceutical sector by the newly elected US president Donald Trump.

A number of sources in Cork have confirmed to The Sunday Business Post that the project has been stalled as Eli Lilly awaits further information about Trump’s plans for its industry.

The new investment would create hundreds of jobs.
