Dublin port and congested quays fare poorly as capital’s first air quality map released

Data project carried out by Google and Dublin City Council is a first for an Irish city and will help inform future environmental decisions

Dublin’s quays have the poorest air quality in the city, according to a 16-month study carried out by Google and Dublin City Council released on Tuesday.

Google’s Project Air View initiative, run by Dublin City Council through its Smart Dublin programme, captured the data using Google’s Street View car.
