Dublin department store Arnotts bought by UK retailer Selfridges

Iconic Dublin department store Arnotts has been bought by high-end UK retailer Selfridges, it has emerged this evening.

It was sold for an undisclosed sum by Fitzwilliam Finance Partners which was set up by developer Noel Smyth in 2011 with the intention of acquiring debts linked with Arnotts.

Arnotts will now join a portfolio of department stores owned by Canadian businessman Galen Weston and Irish wife Hilary, including Brown Thomas, Selfridges, Holt Renfrew ...
