Dublin City Council yet to collect €2.7 million in vacant sites fines

Dublin City Council has collected only a tiny fraction of vacant site fines it has imposed and paid none of the levies it owes.

The vacant site register was introduced to encourage owners of idle land, which could be used for housing, to either develop or sell their property.
