Draghi presses Ireland to sell bonds linked to Anglo bailout

The European Central Bank has pressed Ireland to increase the pace of bond sales linked to the rescue of Anglo Irish Bank.

ECB president Mario Draghi, in a letter to Irish European Parliament member Luke Ming Flanagan, wrote that, “Only by fully and expeditiously disposing of these assets can the monetary financing concerns be fully dispelled.”
