A rift has emerged between the Data Protection Commission (DPC) and a pair of human rights groups over the GDPR implications of using the Covid-19 Tracker App for storing individuals’ vaccination certificates.
The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) and Digital Rights Ireland (DRI) have called on the watchdog to examine upgrades to the app which will mean users can use it to store their Digital Covid Certificates (DCC).
