Michael Doyle, the businessman who built Glen of the Downs Golf Club, is mounting a legal battle as part of an effort to reclaim control of the Co Wicklow course from bank-appointed receivers.

Doyle has taken High Court cases against an entity controlled by Goldman Sachs and AIB, as well as receivers appointed by both the banks over the club’s lands and its clubhouse.
