Donohoe faces key decision over AIB share options plan

AIB shareholders are being asked to approve a scheme that will see key staff awarded deferred shares worth up to 100 per cent of their salary

Pressure is growing on finance minister Paschal Donohoe to declare whether he intends to support a plan by state-backed AIB to award share options to its senior executives.

The Labour Party’s finance spokeswoman and former tánaiste, Joan Burton, said the minister should question the bank on its approach to pay for more junior staff.
