Lynne Embleton, the chief executive of Aer Lingus, has said the development of hub infrastructure at Dublin Airport remains critical.

Speaking at an Oireachtas Committee, Embleton said the airline welcomed the opening of the North Runway at the airport.

“But airlines also require the supporting piers and aircraft stand infrastructure. The development of that hub infrastructure remains critical, particularly if the opportunities represented by the opening of the new Northern Runway are to be realised,” ...
