Celtic Tiger developer Gerry Barrett has described his €320 million redevelopment of land around Ceannt train station in Galway as “transformative” for the city.

The mixed-use development was approved last week by An Bord Pleanála, who granted ten-year planning permission for the site.

Barrett told the Business Post that the ambitious project on the eight-acre site in the centre of the city is “urban regeneration to its very core”.
