Plans for a hotel on the corner of Tara Street and George’s Quay in Dublin city centre have been ditched in favour of a food market.

Luke Keily, a businessman who owns several properties in the area, previously secured permission in 2019 to demolish the Tara Building co-working hub and other buildings to develop a 116-bedroom hotel, but the project never progressed.
