Desmond sees his wealth ranking drop on Forbes list
Recent events at Datalex have made it an interesting time for one of Ireland’s richest men, and now the influential US magazine says his wealth has been reduced
Forbes, the magazine that is the bible of US investors, recently published its billionaires list. Unsurprisingly, Dermot Desmond’s name was on it.
If he looked at the ranking at all, he may have been a little disappointed to see that Forbes – which described him as “an avid golfer . . . known as The Kaiser for his distinctive mustache [sic]”, had downgraded his wealth from $2.3 billion last year to $1.9 billion.
