Desmond-backed diamond mine launches on Nasdaq

A Canadian diamond mine backed by financier Dermot Desmond launched on one of the world’s biggest stock markets on Wednesday.

Mountain Province Diamonds listed on the Nasdaq as part of a plan to boost its profile with money managers at big institutional investment firms and increase share trading volumes, a company statement said.
