Department of Arts coughs up €100k to the taxman

Minister for Arts Heather Humphreys’ department has paid a €100,000 tax settlement to the Revenue on behalf of staff living in national parks.

The park staff had been getting free accommodation in old workmen’s cottages in two of the country’s most scenic locations, Killarney National Park in Kerry and Glenveagh National Park in Donegal.
