Denis O’Brien’s Digicel has completed the sale of its Pacific arm to Telstra in a deal worth up to $1.85 billion.

Telstra is an Australian telecommunications company which is backed by the Australian government.

The transaction values Digicel Pacific at up to $1.85 billion, inclusive of a three year, $250 million earn-out, equating to approximately 8.3 times DPL’s adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of approximately $222 million in the year ended March ...
