Data watchdog says more companies will make the pre-Brexit move here from Britain

More companies will move to Ireland ahead of Brexit to gain access to the Irish data regime, according to Helen Dixon.

The Irish Data Protection Commissioner says that companies are already in contact with her about transferring their data processing to Ireland.

“We’re dealing with quite a bit of Brexit. We’ve met with lots of companies that are prospectively looking at moving their HQ,” Dixon said.
