Dalata rules out buying old hotels as it continues expansion

Irish company behind Maldron and Clayton brands is building new hotels in five cities in Britain and has its eye on Europe

Dalata has “no interest” in buying older hotels as it continues its expansion plans, the company has said.

The firm’s portfolio, which operates under the Maldron and Clayton brands, currently comprises 49 hotels with 10,650 rooms and a pipeline of over 1,400 bedrooms.

Dalata opened the Maldron Hotel, Merrion Road last month and its 50th hotel, the Clayton Hotel Glasgow City, will follow in October. It also has hotels under construction in Brighton, Liverpool, London ...
