Dalata group sees strong recovery after reporting pre-tax profits of €52m

Hotel firm’s main focus is on its expansion plans in Britain following a busy six months, says Dermot Crowley, the group’s chief executive

Dalata, Ireland’s largest hotel group, saw a strong recovery in the first half of this year, but said that the trading environment remains challenging amid global inflationary pressures.

Announcing interim results today, the group reported profit before tax of €52 million for the first half of 2022, up from €37.8 million from the corresponding period in 2019, and before the company’s performance was badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Revenue for the first six months ...
