DAA asked aviation regulator for short queue bonuses

The operator of Dublin Airport last month argued it should be paid bonuses to keep security queues short for travellers as it pushed for passenger charges to be hiked by more than 70 per cent.

The DAA told the Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR) it should be “incentivised“ to keep queues below 20 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively, for a certain percentage of time rather than being penalised when it failed to do so.
