Councils to be asked why they fail to spend Traveller housing funds

Councils are due to be quizzed about their failure to draw down state funding to build Traveller accommodation.

The National Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee, which advises Environment Minister Alan Kelly, is planning to hold meetings with council managers after 15 of them failed to take any funding this year for Travellers’ accommodation.
