Cost of living challenges to continue despite improved growth – ESRI

The research body also expects inflation to decrease considerably through this year and next

The ESRI is forecasting improved growth through the rest of this year and into 2024 due to a better than anticipated international outlook.

The research body’s forecast for modified domestic demand (MDD), an indicator that excludes multinationals and airport leasing businesses, is 3.8 per cent for this year and 3.9 per cent for 2024. In part, this was based on the unemployment rate falling to 4.3 per cent.
