Cork city today launches a pilot project to promote electronic-only transactions.

The “Cork Cashes Out” scheme is completely voluntary for both retailers and consumers.

The project, which involves hundreds of stakeholders, will allow customers conduct all business electronically through phones. Users can pay for food, drink, transport, and all other transactions through a simple swipe and pay system.
