ESRI: Scaling up the construction sector to build an extra 10,000 homes difficult due to the persistent increases in construction materials.

House prices would fall by 12 per cent if 10,000 new private market homes were built annually, but climate change commitments are likely to hamper any move to boost supply, new analysis by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) has shown.
