Church of Scientology centre opens in Dublin

The Church of Scientology has said that 1,200 Scientologists and guests attended the opening of its seven-acre campus in South Dublin by church leader David Miscavige on Saturday.

The opening was the subject of local protests with some in the community objecting to the presence of the controversial church.

The ‘dedication ceremony’ as it is described, was led by Miscavige, the ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion.
