The Charities Regulator has appointed five new trustees to the board of troubled suicide prevention charity Console.

It follows a meeting between the body and the charity following claims made by the RTÉ Investigations Unit about Console and its founder Paul Kelly.

The programme raised concerns about the governance of the charity and a HSE draft report detailing financial mismanagement and alleged fraud.
