Challenges ahead as 47 firms sign carbon pledge

The Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment lauded the 47 Irish businesses that have taken a pledge to reduce their direct carbon footprint by 50 per cent by 2030

Minister Richard Bruton has said that Ireland has changed significantly in the last ten years and will need to do so again in terms of carbon dependence if it is to remain competitive.

“There’s a huge challenge in this but also a very stark economic reality,” Bruton said.
