Catherine Martin says no decision made on future of hospitality sector's 9% Vat rate

The tourism minister said that it was ‘no secret’ that she wanted to see the emergency measure extended

Catherine Martin has said she will seek the extension of the lower 9 per cent Vat rate for the hospitality industry before it expires at the end of next month.

The tourism minister was speaking at the launch of Tourism Ireland’s 2023 marketing campaign and said that the industry supports 325,000 jobs on the island and generated €6 billion annually before the pandemic.
