Carrickmines fire survivors to be accommodated in council car park
Council admits site is "not ideal" and says decision was made with "great reluctance"
Travellers left homeless by the Carrickmines fire will not be housed on a site which the council had identified as the most suitable temporary accommodation.
Residents on the Rockville Drive cul-de-sac had blocked works on the site last week and had since been involved in discussions with the council.
