Car dealers could face emissions suits over VW scandal

Lawyers have threatened to sue individual car dealers over the Volkswagen emissions scandal.

Dealers have up until now been left out of the legal wrangle between Volkswagen and aggrieved Irish motorists.

Last week, a solicitor representing some 100 Irish motorists began informing 12 dealers of his clients’ intention to attach them to existing proceedings arising out of the scandal.
