The nation’s four and five-star hotels are taking Christmas bookings in numbers not seen since the height of the boom.

Strong growth in Dublin’s luxury hotel sector in 2014 means some of the capital’s top hotels are already fully booked for Christmas, with guests spending at pre-recession levels.

It’s a case of no room at the inn for many premises, with hoteliers reporting a surge in early bookings from a booming domestic market.
