Cairn Homes has announced plans to raise around €50 million of additional capital to help fund future acquisitions and to finance the development of new and existing sites.

The homebuilder said last night that it would place up to 46.9 million shares, representing around 9.99 per cent of its share capital, with both existing and new institutional investors "to raise funds for potential future acquisition opportunities".
