Bulmers owner expects cost of living crisis will significantly hit its profits
The firm said consumer demand has been affected by inflation and rail strikes in the UK
C&C group, the company behind Bulmers cider, has lowered its profit forecast for the year due to the effects of inflation.
In a trading update this morning, the firm said it expects a “significant impact from the continuing cost of living pressures facing consumers”.
Analysts had recently estimated the company would record operating profits of approximately €95 million for its 2023 financial year, which runs to the end of February.
