Builders’ lobby fights vacant sites register listings for ‘unviable’ lands

The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) is lobbying the government to take sites out of the vacant land register, even when their owners have failed in appeals to local authorities and An Bord Pleanála.

The CIF wrote to housing minister Eoghan Murphy earlier this year, complaining that sites were being put on the vacant land register where development was not viable.
