Bigger tax credits for the self-employed and small businesses
Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe is set to unveil a range of budget tax incentives for businesses as he prepares for a potential rise of over €100 million in unemployment payments due to a hard Brexit.
The personal tax credit for the country’s 300,000 self-employed workers is due to be increased and the research and development tax credit is due to be changed to make it more attractive for small businesses.
