Bruton pushes tax breaks for video game firms
Ireland has ‘fallen massively behind’ France and Britain and ‘needs to listen to the industry’
Jobs minister Richard Bruton is seeking a tax break for video games companies to bring Ireland in line with Britain and France’s gaming industries.
A spokeswoman for the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation said the department is looking at introducing a refundable corporation tax credit for the games sector.
The tax credit would be similar to schemes in Britain and France.
