British Queen keeps 31,000 Irish pensioners warm

And it is retaining the payment here, even though British pensioners living in warmer countries had the payment of up to €350 per year cut off under a “temperature test”.
New figures obtained by The Sunday Business Post show that the winter fuel payment was made to 31,810 pensioners here for the 2013-2014 winter at a cost of €7.4 million to the British government. The average payment per pensioner was €233.
