A large British homeware retailer, which recently expanded into the Irish market, has been reprimanded over illegal building works.

The Range, which has a network of 150 stores spread across Britain and Ireland, expanded into the Irish market in 2016.

The group opened its first Irish store in Limerick before it expanded to Dublin the following year.

It now has seven locations in the Republic.
