British firm GSA to create 5,000 student beds in Ireland

A British company is investing €450 million in developing 5,000 student beds in Ireland.

Global Student Accommodation Group (GSA) began actively researching the Irish market in 2013 and gained planning permission for its first scheme in 2015. Operating under the UniNest brand, it has 2,000 beds already in Ireland, with a further 1,300 at various stages of the development process.

Of these, it has 200 beds open in Cork and 400 under development with the remainder predominantly between the canals in Dublin.
