There must have been enormous relief in Irish political circles as, in the final hours of the British general election count, the Tory numbers crept beyond the need for any type of DUP parliamentary support.
I suspect to all who value and support the Peace Process and the institutions it has created, the sight of the British prime minister being returned with a majority – however small – is to be welcomed.
