Boston Scientific gives €1.8bn to parent and collects €6m in grants

The Irish arm of Boston Scientific got an additional $6 million in grants from the IDA in 2017, bringing the total amount in Irish state aid to $38.7 million, while it paid $1.8 billion in dividends to its parent company.

The latest accounts for the giant medical devices firm show that the company had $3.6 billion in revenue in 2017, up from $3.4 billion the year before, leaving it with a pre-tax profit of $568,560, down from $685,180.
